Here’s a new article from MTV about Ashley’s new project with Kellan Lutz. What do you all think?

Today, we have breaking news for “Twilight” fans that is best classified as good, bad and possibly a bit weird. And all of it comes courtesy of fast-rising, in-demand young star Ashley Greene.

The good news: Ashley is joining Kellan Lutz in the lacrosse drama we broke the news on last month. “It’s called ‘Warrior,’ ” Greene beamed when we caught up with her at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Salutes Young Hollywood event.

“It’s been amazing,” the 21-year-old, who plays Alice Cullen in the vampire series, said of her life since the massive “Twilight” opening. “It’s been super busy. I just finished another film, and I started working on one today — with Kellan of all people!”

The bad news is that the reunion of the “Twilight” stars rose from the ashes of another project, an indie film called “Strife,” which both actors have now left. “We were in talks for doing ‘Strife,’ but that happened way before ‘Twilight,’ and it just never came through,” Greene explained. “But there’s something cool where me and Kellan get the opportunity to work together a lot. I love him to death.”

And now, we get to the weird news: The actors best known as playing “brother and sister” Alice and Emmett are playing lovers.

Here’s a new article and video of Ashley from MTV:

BEVERLY HILLS, California — After the enormous opening of “Twilight,” it’s hard to talk about “young Hollywood” without the film’s actors coming to mind. So when the organization behind the Golden Globe Awards threw its annual celebration of tomorrow’s stars Wednesday evening, it seemed fitting that Stephenie Meyer’s squad would rock the party. MTV News already brought you our exclusive interview with Taylor Lautner, but we were also eager to get the latest “New Moon” scoop from the one and only Ashley Greene.

“Now I can hear what you say, and then maybe respond intelligently,” the 21-year-old beauty laughed, comparing the red carpet to the last time we saw her, at the “Twilight” premiere.

Looking forward to the upcoming sequel, she said she was “very excited. Alice, [my] character, is a lot bigger and a lot heavier in the second one, so obviously I’m looking forward to that. And hopefully we’ll go to Europe to film.

“I want to drive the yellow Porsche, really bad — in Europe,” she giggled, citing the “New Moon” moment she’s most eager to film. “That’s what I’m most excited about now. I keep saying I hope they let me drive it, because on the first ‘Twilight’ we wanted to do our own stunts, and they let us do everything we realistically could. So, I’m hoping if I learn how to drive stick-shift, they’ll let me drive the Porsche.”

Greene also addressed the recent controversy surrounding Chris Weitz replacing Catherine Hardwicke as the series’ director. “I’m sad to see Catherine go, but I think Chris is going to do a really great job,” said the star. “I’m excited to work with him, because obviously he’s worked with CGI before, and he’s very familiar with it. It’ll be good. We all knew [Catherine leaving] was a possibility, and I respect the fact that she said, ‘Hey, I want more prep time. Maybe I wouldn’t do the best job,’ and that she gave someone else her place. That’s what we do; that’s our job. We work with different, great people every day.”

Greene also offered her support for Lautner, who is meeting with Weitz on Friday to determine whether or not the young star will continue playing Jacob Black. “I hope so,” she said, bringing her hands together in prayer. “We all love Taylor. He’s the best kid. He’s so adorable and so good-hearted, and he’s a good actor too. He did a great job, so I’m hoping to see him come back.”

Ever since Lautner landed the “Twilight” gig, claiming that he could play the character throughout Jacob’s supernatural maturation, some have insisted he isn’t physically appropriate, an argument that Greene doesn’t understand. “Oh, neither am I! I mean, really?” laughed Greene, who dealt with a backlash herself after being cast as the 4-foot-10 Alice Cullen. “If that’s the argument, then they should replace me.

Thanks to JRO for the info:

The nation’s No. 1 motion picture will come to life in Dallas next summer, as five stars of the film “Twilight” have now confirmed their attendance at the US’s largest fan convention dedicated to the Stephenie Meyer’s series of books by the same name. Peter Facinelli – starring as Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the fall blockbuster; and Jackson Rathbone – who portrays Jasper Hale – will join Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen), Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen) and Mike Welch (Mike Newton) at TwiCon ‘09 — which will be held July 30 – Aug. 2, 2009 at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel and Convention Center.

Sounds fantastic!

After a slow start – her father says he almost made her come home, several times – she started getting TV roles. Then while she was home last Christmas, Ashley learned she had landed her star-making turn in Twilight.

“That was a good Christmas,” Michele Greene says.

As Alice, Ashley Greene wears a short wig, contacts and makeup that gives her a vampirish pallor. “But I was pretty much that pale. I stayed out of the sun for a couple of months, then they put sunscreen on us, and then I was in Portland (Ore.). I didn’t get any sun for six months.”

The transformation worked, at least in the opinion of Twilight author Stephenie Meyer, who told the Los Angeles Times that when she saw a picture of Greene, she thought: “You found Alice! Oh my gosh.”

I completely agree with Stephenie. ;) Check out the complete article here and Ashley’s adorable yearbook picture here.

It’s been a long time coming, so here is a bit of what I did today: as you can see, I changed the header for the layout — I think this may be my favorite yet; I changed up the gallery layout, and I finally got around to revamping the fan archive; that one had not changed since the very beginning of the site, so I’m glad that was changed a bit. Features artwork by the talented nami86, and there are also a few new additions of her fan works. Check them out!

Up next: Video archive revamp. I am well aware that I’m very behind in many videos — to the point where I’m positive that I wouldn’t be able to get them all. If there’s any clip in particular that you’d like to be added, let me know and I’ll do my best.

It’s official! Chris Weitz will be directing New Moon! Below you can find Stephenie’s message from her website, as well as the letter Chris has sent to the fans. I’m very excited for what’s to come! :)

Hey guys,

There’s been a lot of worry and speculation on the boards lately, and I want to let you know what’s going on.

First of all, like you, I’m sad that Catherine is not continuing on with us for New Moon. I’m going to miss her, not just as a brilliant director, but also as a friend. She has such a distinct, authentic voice that did amazing things for Twilight. I’m looking forward to every movie she does in the future.

And she didn’t leave us empty handed. We still get the benefits of her amazing casting and the beautiful visual world she created. This foundation puts us in a good place for New Moon.

Summit Films is moving forward with a new director for New Moon. They’ve asked Chris Weitz, director of American Pie, About a Boy, and The Golden Compass, to join us, and I am very pleased to announce that he’s agreed to be a part of our Twilight world. I’ve had the chance to talk to Chris, and I can tell you that he is excited by the story and eager to keep the movie as close to the book as possible. He is also very aware of you, the fans, and wants to keep you all extremely happy. (Torches and pitchforks are not going to be necessary.)
