Ashley Greene Covers Savvy Magazine

Ashley looks gorgeous on a new magazine cover! Check it out below!

The February 2010 issue of Savvy Magazine features a new interview and cover with Twilight and New Moon star Ashley Greene.

In a ten-page fashion spread and interview, the actress discusses her independent film, Skateland, as it debuts at the Sundance Film Festival. She also shares a behind the scenes glimpse at filming The Twilight Saga movies and discusses her most recent endeavor, landing the lead in the new Warner Bros. thriller The Apparition. “To actually be the lead of a studio film and to have input on it is just really cool.” said Greene. The movie begins shooting early this year in Berlin.

The same issue of Savvy also contains interviews with American Idol winner Jordin Sparks and The Vampire Diaries’ Zach Roerig, along with a fashion feature on When in Rome’s Kristen Bell. The special expanded issue also has a bonus section on Prom 2010.

Savvy Magazine is available at Barnes and Noble, B. Dalton and other booksellers and www.magazines.com, retailing for $4.95. For more information on the current issue of Savvy or for subscriptions and back issues, visit www.savvymag.net.

Hopefully we’ll have scans and the interview soon! Apologies for the site being slow — old/new photos will be updated to the gallery soon.

Ashley for Interview Magazine

New Moon co-star Michael Sheen interviewed Ashley for Interview magazine. Along with the interview come three gorgeous photos. Check them out in the gallery and the interview below!

Gallery Link: Session 041

In the Twilight movies, Ashley Greene plays the saga’s resident good-girl vampire, Alice Cullen—all pixie haircut and motherly touch, not a hint of bloodlust in her earnest high-school demeanor. Greene’s career—and her life—has changed dramatically since she was cast in the blockbuster series. For one thing, teenage girls shake uncontrollably and burst into tears when they see her on the street. For another, it was just a couple of years ago that the 22-year-old Greene was struggling to land guest spots with no dialogue, and almost had to leave Los Angeles and return to her hometown of Jacksonville, Florida, where she’d originally planned to study psychology and law. But now, she’s booking movies faster than she can make them—including her first big lead, in the upcoming supernatural thriller, The Apparition. Michael Sheen, Greene’s co-star in Twilight and New Moon, recently caught up with the actress.

MICHAEL SHEEN: Okay. This is my first question. This is the only really serious one, and then the rest are quite funny. The first one is: As an elf, raised by humans, have you found a lot of discrimination against the fairy folk here in Hollywood?

ASHLEY GREENE: Well, I think they’re just jealous that I sparkle and speak elfin and have cute little pointy ears.

SHEEN: It’s true.

GREENE: So, yes, there’s discrimination. But I really don’t care.

SHEEN: You do get described as pixie-like a lot. In my younger days, I used to get described as sort of elf-like. I think it’s probably a lot easier to deal with that if you’re a pretty girl, rather than a sort of average-looking boy.

GREENE: I’m sorry about your adolescence.

SHEEN: Thank you. Well, look, let’s take a second and go back to the beginning, Ashley Greene. You grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. Is that correct?

GREENE: That is correct.

100 Monkeys at The White Rabbit: Photos & Review by Scooby Lady

A big thank you to Scooby Lady for sending in her review of the 100 Monkeys show at The White Rabbit on the 19th. Check out the photos, taken by her sister Judith, in the gallery and SL’s review below (you can also see what picture she used to draw of the guys at the bottom). Enjoy, and again, thanks to SL! :)

My day started around midnight of Jan.9, I was still finishing up a drawing that I’ve been working on since late December and did not stop until 3:00am. I forced myself to sleep and did not awake until 7:00am to finished what little was left of the drawing. I finally finished the whole thing around 10:00am. Thank God, I was able to finish it cause I was worried I wouldn’t have been able to give it to the 100 Monkeys. The drawing was a group shot, I would give you a pic of the reference image I used for the drawing. I’m sorry I couldn’t take a pic of the drawing itself, cause there wasn’t time to do so cause I had to get ready to leave for San Antonio. Anyway, during that time I also decided to give the drawing of Jackson I did for the Birthday project JRO threw for him as a gift to Jackson. The group shot drawing was for the whole band and I seriously prayed that I would be able to give it to them, that would have been a great reward for the hard work I did on them.
