Jackson has made a couple appearances on MTV.com over the past week or so.  The first one is called Male Pop Rookies of 2009, and Jackson is included.

He has “New Moon” all lined up for later this year, so he can milk this “Twilight” franchise for all it’s worth. But Jackson’s got a lot more going for him than just vampires: He also has a band, 100 Monkeys, that’s planning to release two albums this year. And maybe if things work out, he can get his co-star Robert Pattinson in on the act. “We’ve jammed with Rob quite a bit at the house,” he told MTV News. “We have some recordings that we’re never going to release, but yeah, he plays. Maybe he’ll make a guest appearance someday, but the kid has a really busy schedule these days.” On top of his career as a rock star, he’s also hard at work on several films, including “S. Darko,” “Dread,” “Hurt” and “The Last Airbender.” “It’s just an action-packed, epic film,” he said of M. Night Shyamalan’s “Airbender.” “I’m starting to do martial-arts training, which is going to be so much fun. It’s such a mythical world. We get to go to Asia, go film abroad.”

The second one is a video diary that Jackson did for MTV, featuring his band, 100 Monkeys.

There are many things you might already know about Jackson Rathbone. He plays newly vegetarian vampire Jasper in “Twilight,” has a band called 100 Monkeys, is a Sagittarius and was born in Singapore. Then again there’s a slew of stuff you might not yet know about the actor, whom we just named one of the Male Pop Rookies of 2009. We’ll let him tell you about them himself:

1. “I do a lot of photography, and I do a little bit of drawing. I try to incorporate the two together.”

2. “I tend to sleep in all of my clothes and wear them the next day. I also haven’t washed my hair in five years. No, not really. But it’s been a long time.”

3. “I play banjo. It’s really annoying. And I also play accordion. Those two things are both really annoying. And I also play ukulele, which is also annoying, but I was taught to play ukulele by Spencer Bell, incredible musician.”

4. “When I was very young, I busted my head open three different times — probably explains why I’m an artist.”

5. “I don’t take very good care of my car, as my dad tells me many times. I’ve been in several fender-benders. My bumper has fallen off a few times. I taped it back on with duct tape. Duct tape is awesome, by the way, but it kept falling off, so now my car has no bumper.”

It looks like Ashley didn’t attend the Awards Show, but she did attend the InStyle / Warner Brothers After Party, looking stunning!

Ashley was at Day 1 of the 2009 Pre-Golden Globes DPA Gifting Lounge, which hopefully means she’ll attend the other days and maybe even the Globes themselves! Check out the lovely pics we’ve added:

Hello 2009!!!!!!!!!!!! I am very excited for the new year. This is a video I put together of some of my favorite clips from the year 2008. So, Twilight is FINALLY here!  I saw it last night at midnight, and besides the obvious wish for more J/A, I loved it!  Feel free to discuss your thoughts in our forum, or our LJ Comm below:

Also, here’s the design I made to wear on my shirt, representing all the J/A shippers out there!  Several people wanted to take a picture, which made me happy, because that means there were all kinds of shippers out last night!

Jackson and Ashley, along with some of their Twilight co-stars, appeared at the Hot Topic in Hollywood yesterday, as part of the Twilight Hot Topic Tour.

With much thanks to JR Online and AG Online, who both continue to be made of awesome, we’ve added 50+ images to the gallery.

Some things of note:

- Ashley is a smart girl and brought two pairs of shoes — heels for the portraits and sandals for the panel.

- Jackson continues to have no fashion sense.  I read somewhere that he’s colorblind and that’s why he never matches, but that’s no excuse for wearing stripes with flannel.

- Taylor is already looking buffer than Kellan in some of these shots.  He just might pull this off after all.

Jackson attended an event a couple days ago, the 6th Annual Acts Of Love To Benefit Autism Speaks.  We’ve added some pictures of him arriving, thanks to JR Online.

What do you guys think of his black hair?  I think he looks great, but I prefer him as a blonde, myself.

We’ve also added Ashley’s photoshoot from Maxim.  She looks absolutely stunning, as usual.
