Coming up necks for Twilight bloodsucker Jackson Rathbone: A potentially recurring role on ABC’s No Ordinary Family.

The 25-year-old actor—whose two summer films, Eclipse and The Last Airbender, collectively grossed nearly $1 billion worldwide—will play Trent Stafford, a high school classmate of Kay Panabaker telepathic Daphne. Trent was recently the victim of a home invasion robbery, and I’m guessing Daphne will join forces with her superhero parents to help catch the perp.

Rathbone last appeared on the small screen in 2009, when he guest-starred as a serial killer with multiple personalities on Criminal Minds.

N.O.F. premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 28.

Just in from The Hollywood Reporter. Will keep you updated!

Ashley Greene, who plays Alice Cullen in the “Twilight” movies, and “Hung” star Thomas Jane are in negotiations to join Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore in “LOL,” Mandate’s English-language remake of the French comedy.

Also joining the cast are Ashley Hinshaw and George Finn.

Liza Azuelos, who helmed the 2008 original, is directing the new pic produced by Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher.

The story centers on a teenage girl (Cyrus) who is dumped by her more sexually experienced boyfriend (Finn) while her divorcee mother (Moore) struggles to move on with her life.

Greene will play a high school bad girl, and Jane will be Cyrus’ father.

Hinshaw will play Cyrus’ best friend. Douglas Booth has already been cast as Cyrus’ love interest.

Greene, repped by Innovative Artists and McKeon Myones Management, next toplines “Apparition,” a supernatural thriller from Dark Castle and Warner Bros., and recently wrapped “Butter,” an indie comedy with Jennifer Garner and Hugh Jackman.

Paramount has moved up the theatrical release date for family adventure “The Last Airbender” one day to Thursday, July 1.

Midweek debuts generally are designed to stimulate word-of-mouth in advance of an opening weekend. Paramount effectively will reap a five-day bow for the M. Night Shyamalan-helmed pic, as Independence Day falls on a Sunday and Monday, July 5, is a federal holiday in the U.S.

Summit’s “Twilight” threequel “Eclipse” is the holiday-stretched session’s only other wide opener. The vampire romance is set to unspool June 30.

The Hollywood Reporter just posted that Ashley is in negotiations for “Scream 4″:

Dimension is taking the first steps to casting “Scream 4,” which is heading toward a July start date.

Lake Bell is in negotiations to join the franchise, and offers are out to “Twilight” actress Ashley Greene, “Heroes” star Hayden Panettiere and Rory Culkin (“Twelve”) for key starring roles.

“Scream 4” reunites Wes Craven with Kevin Williamson, who kicked off a horror- movie revival with his “Scream” script in 1996. The story brings back original cast members Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courteney Cox, though the new flick is seen as a passing of the baton to a new generation of slasher victims, with Williamson already under contract to write a fifth installment.

If deals are concluded, Greene would play Campbell’s cousin Jill, essentially the heroine of the movie, and Panettiere would play her best friend, a nerdy film geek. Culkin would play a potential love interest for Jill.

Bell is negotiating to play a police officer who knew Sidney (Campbell) from high school.

Casting is proceeding slowly because Craven and Dimension are not sending the script to agencies in order to protect its secrecy. With only character descriptions, actors are having a difficult time deciding whether certain roles are for them. Reps for the actors declined comment.
