Don’t forget that today is the day you can pick up your double dose of Ashley and Jackson as Summer’s Moon and Hurt are released on DVD! Here is a brief synopsis for each film:

Eager to find her estranged father, Summer (TWILIGHT’s Ashley Greene) sets out on a cross-country journey but soon has a slight run-in with the law. Much to her amazement, a local handyman rescues her. It’s an unusual connection, but she is quickly charmed and accepts his invitation to spend the night. The following morning she is in for a rude awakening when he decides to change the rules of attraction by trapping her in his house. Taken prisoner in the demented stranger’s basement, her dream has come to a bitter end and her real-life nightmare has only just begun.

There are terrible things happening in the desert…unexplainable, frightening things. Tragic, inexplicable incidents…ever since she arrived.

The Coltrane family’s life has been devastated by an untimely death. Widowed Helen Coltrane (Melora Walters Big Love), along with her teenage son (Jackson Rathbone Twilight) and daughter, are given shelter by her reclusive and quirky gun-loving brother-in-law. As they grapple with the reality of their shattered, altered life and twist of fate, coincidence steps in with a seemingly lovely foster child (Sofia Vassilieva – TV’s Medium) who appears touting a story that Helen s husband had pledged to take her in. And as they do, a macabre story of deception unfolds…

I’ll try to add these to my Netflix queue soon to bring you caps and such!

Ashley Greene is going from vampires to ghosts.

The actress, who portrays Alice Cullen in the “Twilight” movies, is in talks to star in “The Apparition,” a supernatural horror project from Dark Castle Entertainment. Todd Lincoln is directing.

Greene would act as the female lead in the story of a couple who are haunted by a supernatural presence that is unleashed during a college experiment. Lincoln wrote the script, which is said to be inspired by true events.

Joel Silver, Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman are producing. Steve Richards, Sue Baden Powell and Daniel Alter are exec producing.

Shooting is scheduled to begin Feb. 1.

Dark Castle has DC Comics adaptation “The Losers” in post and is gearing up for “Unknown White Male” with Liam Neeson, January Jones and Diane Kruger.

Greene is repped by Innovative Artists and McKeon-Myones Entertainment.

The last place fans will find up-and-coming “Twilight” actor and 100 Monkeys musician Jackson Rathbone?

“I don’t go to malls,” he jokes, taking a break from filming the indie flick “Girlfriend” outside of the State Road Auto Body’s garage in Wayland. “You won’t see me in a tabloid magazine outside of a club unless my band just played there. I keep myself busy. I consider myself an artist and not just an actor,” he says, punctuating each sentence with a thick Texas accent.

Rathbone, known as vamp brother Jasper Hale in the “Twilight” series, is playing a volatile auto mechanic Russ in the made-in-Wayland flick. He’s wearing gray coveralls and is covered from head to toe with grease. Behind him is a picturesque autumn setting with leaves changing colors juxtaposed with the harsh metal garage set. The actor graciously signs autographs and poses for photos for the handful of locals checking out the set.

The 24-year-old comments that he’s been filming around the clock in Wayland since flying in from Vancouver where he’s shooting a beefier role in the third edition of the Stephenie Meyer franchise called “Eclipse.” So far, Rathbone says he’s blown away by the New England aesthetic … and the kindness of the locals.

“I’ve never filmed in Massachusetts,” he says, signing an autograph for a mechanic wearing a “bodies are our business” T-shirt. “It’s been wonderful filming in Wayland and Natick and in the outskirts because everyone has been so kind to us. I mean, they shut down their auto body shop on a weekday for us. They could be working and they’ve opened their garage for us.”

In “Girlfriend,” Rathbone is thrust into a bizarre love triangle with a small town single mom (played by Shannon Woodward from “The Riches”) and newcomer Evan Sneider. The drama centers around Sneider’s protagonist, a young man with Down’s Syndrome, who romantically pursues Woodward’s character Candy. So far, the actor says the on-screen chemistry has been magic.

“Every time we go back to watch dailies, we’re all silent,” he says. “If you’re watching playbacks in a room full of producers and they’re all silent, you know something is going right.”

‘New Moon’ Star Jackson Rathbone Says Film Has Plenty Of Edward
BOSTON — When MTV News recently caught up with “New Moon” star Jackson Rathbone on the set of his new movie “Girlfriend,” we had to ask how much we’d be seeing Jasper Hale in the second installment of the “Twilight” saga.

“I only shot for three weeks, and out of those three weeks that I was [in Vancouver] I think I actually filmed four days,” Jackson said. “So, I mean, I’m not so much in ‘New Moon.’ ”

Since Robert Pattinson’s Edward Cullen departs early in the book, he is largely absent, and the rest of the Cullens aren’t seen until the end of the story either.

“It’s one of those things where we want to follow as closely to the books as possible,” Rathbone said. “In ‘New Moon,’ you don’t see that much of the Cullens. You really don’t. So there’s not too much of us in there.”

Jackson Rathbone & 100 Monkeys On The ‘Girlfriend’ Soundtrack: Music ‘Takes You Along For A Ride’
In addition to finishing filming “Eclipse” and having wrapped “The Last Airbender” earlier this year, Jackson Rathbone has had his hands full working on the indie film, “Girlfriend.” Not only is he acting in and producing the film, but he scooped to Larry Carroll in September that his band 100 Monkeys would also be handling the soundtrack and composition work for “Girlfriend” as well. (Plus, the group is also offering up some tracks for consideration on the “Eclipse” soundtrack.)When we caught up with him recently on the set of “Girlfriend,” we asked him to give us a little more information on what he and the band would be doing for the soundtrack. “We’re going to be doing some soundscapes and a couple of our songs and some bands that we like,” Jackson said.

“One of the things I love about indie films is you get some of the greatest music,” he said. “You get access, and [if] the film does well then the bands do well as well.”

In previous interviews with the director and cast of “Girlfriend,” the creators of the film were hesitant about revealing too many plot points. What was known was the plot involved a romance between “New Moon” star Jackson Rathbone and Shannon Woodward as ex-high school sweethearts, but a love triangle was also mentioned with the third angle not disclosed.

Earlier this week, on a visit to the set of “Girlfriend,” director Justin Lerner and his crew decided to share exclusively with MTV the large portion of plot they have been hiding secret: the film’s main character, Evan Grey.

Evan Grey (played by Evan Sneider, pictured, also inspired the character) is a man in his twenties with down syndrome who wants to find love from a woman, and the film (appropriately titled) is about his journey to find a girlfriend. During the course of the tale, Evan comes into some sort of means — which we assume to be money — that he uses to help the girl he’s loved since high school (Shannon), who is currently a single mom.
